Welcome to Grafika66. My name is Baz Pringle, and I am a British artist and designer currently living in Greater Los Angeles, California.

After leaving my hometown of London, I studied Illustration and Graphic Design at LCAD in Southern California. This led to a deep appreciation for both disciplines, and ever since, my work has been an attempt to merge the two.

Upon graduating from art college, I began my career in the entertainment industry as a 2D artist at Virgin Interactive Entertainment. During this time, I worked on video games and was quickly introduced to the world of high-end 3D art production. The almost endless possibilities were fascinating to me, and as someone who’s always loved technology, digital media and coding, it was a natural area for me to explore.

After gaining experience in both 2D and 3D commercial art production, I went on to produce work in both fields for numerous Fortune 500 companies, in full-time and freelance capacities. A selection of brands and companies I’ve been honoured to work with includes Warner Bros., Sony/PlayStation, EA, Disney, BBC, F1, Nintendo, Ford, Namco Bandai, and Audi, among others.

Working as a commercial Designer and Illustrator in a variety of industries allowed me to explore many styles and production techniques. However, after some time, I needed an outlet to explore my own personal style outside of external client work, thus Grafika66.com was created.

Established in 2005, Grafika66 became a platform for me to explore the fusion of traditional art techniques with cutting-edge digital processes.

The work continually evolves and the style can change, but the consistent theme is the continued effort to marry my passion for both art and technology. The work on this site represents a selection of pieces from my ongoing explorations and experiments.
